Bill Schaub has proven himself as trainer throughout the years, leading a long list horses to AHSA/USEF National Championships, multiple Winter Equestrian Festival championships and more than 50 championship and reserve championships at the Devon Horse Show and the East Coast fall indoor circuit of Capital Challenge, the Pennsylvania National, Washington International and the National horse shows.
Bill has helped to train top riders, such as Pat Vogtle, Ashley and Courtney Kennedy, Liza Towell Boyd, Lauren Bass, Caroline Willard and Evan Coluccio, to name just a few. But he emphasizes more than winning. "I focus on providing my clients a base of knowledge for riding, and I want them to focus on the horsemanship, not the ribbons. I'll teach anyone if they want to learn," notes Bill.
Famous ponies, such as Time To Talk, Heart's Desire, Disco Duck, Rainbow Connection, Shenandoah Sundowner, Crystal Blue, Arabesque, All That Glitters and Miss Australia have marched into history under his tutelage. Bill has also had four Grand Champion Pony Hunters at the Capital Challenge Horse Show.
He's also trained great horses, such as Gran Duel, Out Of Sight and Mind Games. Three of his horses have earned the WCHR "Heard A Rumor" Perpetual Trophy, a lifetime achievement award for horses that exemplify exceptional ability in the show hunter ring and whose lifelong show career epitomizes the important partnership of show hunter and hunter rider. Missouri won this special award in 2003, Clyde Barrow was honored in 2001 and Lyrik in 1995.
